Mentor Bridge Consultation Series Successfully Launches in Budapest

The first Mentor Bridge session officially kicked off at the Design Terminal (Civitta) office in Budapest on May 15, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the mentors, entrepreneurs, and our team. As a brand-new initiative, the launch of Mentor Bridge strives to support an ecosystem of regional entrepreneurship, and we are already excited to see what the upcoming Estonian and Slovak projects will bring to our international cohort.

The premiere event saw 18 ambitious participants pair up with 7 seasoned mentors for intensive, personalized 1:1 consultation sessions. The program was built to be purely problem-centric, moving away from abstract theory to answer the exact questions that pose challenges to early-stage founders:

  • Idea Validation and Launching: "I have a great idea, but how do I know if it’s truly viable and if people will actually pay for it?"
  • Market Research and Strategy: "Who is my real target audience, how do I reach them efficiently, and what is the best go-to-market strategy?"
  • Marketing and Branding: "How do I build a sustainable business model and a brand that my audience instantly identifies with?"
  • Sales and Pitching: "How can I sell my product or service confidently without feeling like I'm pushy?"
  • Finance and Planning: "How do I plan my budget and cash flow so I don't run out of money, and how do I build a well-functioning team?"

The 50-minute deep dives yielded immediate breakthroughs for both those participating online and offline. Participants left the session with solutions and suggestions for going forward, and a renewed sense of motivation. The feedback from the anonymous evaluation forms highlighted just how vital an external viewpoint can be:

"I found out that there is actual market demand for what I want to do, and starting out isn't nearly as complicated as I originally thought. An external, experienced perspective helps you see everything so much more clearly."

"This session helped us open doors we previously thought were completely closed to us."

Our mentors were impressed by the concepts and business ideas brought as well as the dedication displayed by the attendees. Reflecting on the day, the mentoring team noted that the sheer enthusiasm in the room leaves no doubt about the future: "Who knows? We might have just met the next big breakthrough startup."

What's Next?

Many participants left the office already asking when they can return to continue the work. The journey has just begun with upcoming occasions across Slovakia, Estonia, and more in Hungary coming soon. The next occasion in Hungary will be on June 12th with registration closing this week!
